30 days of night

I wouldn't usually post about films I've seen, but this one is the exception. The reviews are probably spot on but blimey, it made me jump!

Worth a watch on DVD (less scary I suspect) but I really enjoyed it. :D

I'm liking the Challenger more and more....

Looks like all those rumors about Chrysler reviving the ‘Cuda (Barracuda) nameplate were true after all. These scoop pictures were taken from the SEMA showroom in Las Vegas today giving us a sneak peak of what Chrysler has in store for us tomorrow morning. For the time being however, there’s no info whatsoever on the new ‘Cuda but it's obvious that the concept is based on the 2009 Dodge Challenger (click here) and that it's wearing a Dodge Charger interior. We’re not going to get delirious and talk about a production version, but being the 60 & 70’s muscle cars suckers that we are, we wouldn’t mind at all.

Here is the first photo of the new 2010 Camaro test mule/prototype car in what appears to be the new Camaro body/shell (being hugged by Ed Welburn (GM Chief of Design).

Until now, the only Camaro test mule anyone has laid eyes on has been under a Holden body.

Busy x 10

What a hectic few months! Yes, I suck at blogging. I used to be rather good.

So what's new?

Well - I've been working hard on two jobs, getting my VMWare qualification (done!), selling my house (done!) and generally running around like a blue arsed fly.
I even managed a holiday.

So what else? Um. Halo? Yes, Halo. It rules. You should go play it... oh, you already have? And completed it? K... Um....

Best get back to work then!

The Japanese have lost it...

Check this out and tell me they haven't. Sure they're all concepts - but they ain't pretty. I do not look forward to a future of cars shaped liked... boxes.

Monaro page gets a coupe of pics

It's here. A lame update but it's something!

Running: Week5

Well this week was another 6 miler - and I was a bit off pace. Just a smidge over the 40 minutes. Still, I wasn't feeling great.
Tomorrow - more of the same...

'New' Deloreans?

Well, DMC will already build you a car from New Old Stock - but this sounds more a like they'll manufacture the parts themselves. Doable, but costly I suspect.
I wonder if it'll have the updated parts (new dash, wheels etc)?
I look forward to seeing this...

DeLorean being brought back to the future?

We're certainly not holding our collective breath on this one, but according to an article put out by the Los Angeles Times, the cult classic DeLorean automobile just might be resurrected. Reportedly, the DeLorean Motor Company" is laying plans to bring the car back into limited production, and while it'd be easy to brush aside this whimsical scheme, 2007 certainly has been good to vintage automobiles made new. Apparently, the supply of cars suitable for rebuilding is quickly dwindling, and if everything pans out, DMC could possibly produce "20 or so cars a year." Of course, there's simply no way to tell how legitimate these expectations are, but here's to hoping for a brand new gull-winged whip in the not-too-distant future.

Spot-less sun

Apparently the sun is at it's solar minimum. 11 years down, 11 years up - now it goes nuts and starts to party. Pretty pic though

Running diary WEEK 4

Date - Distance (Miles) - Time - Weather
02-7-7 - 3 - 19 mins (circa) - Windy/Dry
09-7-7 - 4 - 25 mins (circa) - Dry
16-7-7 - 5 - 31 mins 55 secs - Dry
23-7-7 - 6 - 39 mins 53 secs - Torrential!

Okay, so it's a few weeks in - but so far it's going well. My times are more accurate this week as I remember the times. Yes, that's actually quick (for me) but it's hard work keeping that pace so I think 7 through 10 miles will be slower. But on the day? (Great South) who knows...
Last night was very wet, but not windy. I prefer the rain to the wind any day of the week - but it's not all that nice being soaked through while running. Still, I managed a 1 hour, 22 minute run last year in the wet so this year I'll be happy if I get the same or under (conditions allowing). My calves, for once, aren't sore either. :)

6 Questions The Last Harry Potter Book Had Better F#@king Answer
By Chris Bucholz

The final chapter of the Harry Potter saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is set to be released on July 21st at the stroke of midnight. Desperate for clues about what will happen in the final book, fans have been scouring the Internet and rhythmically caressing their imitation Firebolts as they build themselves up to a fever pitch. Big questions about Harry's final year have yet to be answered: What electives will Harry take? Will he get a part time job, to try and save money for a wizard-car? Will he confide in Principal Belding with his concerns about Jesse's drug addiction?
