Ere we go!

Moved over to this blogspot thing - easier to update. Twitter on the right. Good eh?

More to come and assume the links don't work (they will, but they won't return you here until I update em).

See ya!

Time for some changes

Yeah - I don't have time to maintain this site so I think I might change it - with the uplift in toys like Twitter (@willisit) which is just SO easy, I think I need to get that and this in line.

Coming (soon I hope)....

Hec-tic!

What a few weeks it's been! I changed job (hinted at in my last post in July) and have been on holiday - not to mention away with work as I'm now a consultant... :)

Still, something funny for you here at Clarkson island.

Also, here with Will Ferrell answering questions :)

Lastly - I had the Monaro on the rollers and she made 440hp at the flywheel. Heh.

Things change

As of the 15th August 2008, I will no longer be in the employ of Fat Face. :(

Still, I am moving on to a new company and a new role. Virtualisation Consultant. Cool eh?

More detail soon!

The holiday starts HERE!

You can see how out of touch I am with the blog because below I used [i] tags for an italic font and got nothing.. ah well, at least I remember the correct way to do it!

I'm on holiday from today. Yes, holiday. I'm off to Newquay so my new found blogging love will have to wait a week (yeah yeah, six months).

Might have some cool news on my return as well. :)

Just looking at my old library of car pics - I miss the 911/DeLorean combo. What a 2-car garage! Think I might head back that way actually - 911 first and then the DeLorean when time/space and money allow. It's an aim - so what if it takes me years? :D

It's me!

March? MARCH?

Good god man, what the hell have I been doing?!

Well I'll say that I don't really have the time to blog these days and that's pretty obvious but I reckon I might take this back to basics and start again with a new theme. I mean, I'm here now aren't I? :P

So - I'm all moved with Gemma (have been for a few months) and things are all good. Life is hectic as usual and this week kinda starts and finishes the car-show season for me (Billing and Festival of Speed). Next week I'm in Newquay and then it's business as usual!

I'll be [i]right back[/i]!

A New Year...

Hopefully this year will see more blogging; or an admittance I don't have the time and I'll kill it. Or start again. Or just redesign it and get the archives working. Or.

Anyway; it's 2008. I'll be 29 + 365 days old this year and that's probably quite something. I don't personally believe it and if I'm lucky, no one will notice.

It should be an exciting year all round though. A house move for me - so far only taking four lousy months. The Camaro should appear in production form (the prototype is looking damned close to the concept) and now the Calibra is gone, a year of shows with either the Monaro - or nothing at all (and me just spectating). Who knows. Could be interesting.

Is HD DVD dead? Hmm - not sure myself. That's not because I just got a player either. I think it's still very early on and the real adoption hasn't happened - but I will admit that it's down to distribution and without the big players, it's hard to see how it'll fare.

Probably a good movie year as well, what with Cloverfield, Indy 4 and a raft of other big films on the way. Better than 2007? Well, what was your favourite movie last year? I can hardly remember...

If you've not seen JC's new DVD - borrow it. It's worth it just to see some rather expensive metal being thrown around. I particularly liked the little Gallardo. :P

See ya.

30 days of night

I wouldn't usually post about films I've seen, but this one is the exception. The reviews are probably spot on but blimey, it made me jump!

Worth a watch on DVD (less scary I suspect) but I really enjoyed it. :D

I'm liking the Challenger more and more....

Looks like all those rumors about Chrysler reviving the ‘Cuda (Barracuda) nameplate were true after all. These scoop pictures were taken from the SEMA showroom in Las Vegas today giving us a sneak peak of what Chrysler has in store for us tomorrow morning. For the time being however, there’s no info whatsoever on the new ‘Cuda but it's obvious that the concept is based on the 2009 Dodge Challenger (click here) and that it's wearing a Dodge Charger interior. We’re not going to get delirious and talk about a production version, but being the 60 & 70’s muscle cars suckers that we are, we wouldn’t mind at all.

First Photo: 2010 Camaro test mule/prototype in actual Camaro body

Here is the first photo of the new 2010 Camaro test mule/prototype car in what appears to be the new Camaro body/shell (being hugged by Ed Welburn (GM Chief of Design).

Until now, the only Camaro test mule anyone has laid eyes on has been under a Holden body.

Busy x 10

What a hectic few months! Yes, I suck at blogging. I used to be rather good.

So what's new?

Well - I've been working hard on two jobs, getting my VMWare qualification (done!), selling my house (done!) and generally running around like a blue arsed fly.
I even managed a holiday.

So what else? Um. Halo? Yes, Halo. It rules. You should go play it... oh, you already have? And completed it? K... Um....

Best get back to work then!

The Japanese have lost it...

Check this out and tell me they haven't. Sure they're all concepts - but they ain't pretty. I do not look forward to a future of cars shaped liked... boxes.

Monaro page gets a coupe of pics

It's here. A lame update but it's something!

Running: Week5

Well this week was another 6 miler - and I was a bit off pace. Just a smidge over the 40 minutes. Still, I wasn't feeling great.
Tomorrow - more of the same...

'New' Deloreans?

Well, DMC will already build you a car from New Old Stock - but this sounds more a like they'll manufacture the parts themselves. Doable, but costly I suspect.
I wonder if it'll have the updated parts (new dash, wheels etc)?
I look forward to seeing this...

DeLorean being brought back to the future?

We're certainly not holding our collective breath on this one, but according to an article put out by the Los Angeles Times, the cult classic DeLorean automobile just might be resurrected. Reportedly, the DeLorean Motor Company" is laying plans to bring the car back into limited production, and while it'd be easy to brush aside this whimsical scheme, 2007 certainly has been good to vintage automobiles made new. Apparently, the supply of cars suitable for rebuilding is quickly dwindling, and if everything pans out, DMC could possibly produce "20 or so cars a year." Of course, there's simply no way to tell how legitimate these expectations are, but here's to hoping for a brand new gull-winged whip in the not-too-distant future.
