Wow.. talk about having nothing to write about!
It's the middle of Summer; I have Gemma at home and for once the weather is actually good. Yet beyond that I really have nothing going on.
Don't mistake that for laziness. Oh no, I'm working as usual and with the heat being what it is I'm having to train harder to get the same result. Gemma is doing the same (working every hour god sends to pay her way through Uni), running where she gets the chance and we're both swimming. On top of that I have two cars to sort out (more on that later) and Gemma is learning to drive.
Summer used to be about lazing around. Going on trips and generally enjoying what little weather we have. Before long it'll be Autumn and I'll be wondering where it all went.
Sad but true.
Gemma and I are going out this weekend. We managed a few hours last Saturday (she works Sunday) in Southsea; we both need the sun. This weekend I don't know.. maybe Whittering? Maybe QE and a picnic. Oh - make no mistake here - I'm getting old and now
my idea of summer is relaxing somewhere quiet. Blimey.
I have kickboxing tonight. I don't feel like it. In fact I'm teaching before kickboxing and I don't feel like that either. But I'll do both because I need to. I'm not seeing Gemma either as she's having a family day (her one day off to spend with them as it were).

Increasingly I've been seeing some rather random and scary driving locally to me. Just today I witnessed (during lunch) an old lady in a newish Ford Focus doing an indicated 15mph on a main road. While this in itself is not that unusual the fact that she was bouncing along the curb was a little off.
To add to this oddity (and the truck desperatly trying to overtake) she got to a roundabout near where I work, indicated left and then proceeded to go all the way around the roundabout and take the right exit.. in doing so cutting up a rather large lorry that had right of way. How she is still alive is beyond me at this point.
I'm sure I'll see it all again on my way home tonight.

On to the cars then.
The blue turbo - becomuth the bain of my life - is nearly finished. By "nearly" I mean that all the parts are here (bar the 4x4 TXB which should be en-route) and I have just to bolt everything together.
That
would be easy but it will not be. Firstly I have to find bolts that will fit brackets that don't yet exist. I'm not much of a fabrictor and I have no wish to be.
Secondly a few bolts have sheared during the odd process and I need to rethread parts.. which I've also no interest in doing.
To be honest the whole project is getting on my nerves - but only because I wish to finish it as soon as possible. Next week I have time off to get as much of it done as I can. I shall be busy! Hopefully I'll take time to take the odd picture - but I wouldn't count on it.
The black turbo needs to be stripped. Blah.
I need to get her TXB out as I'm swapping it out with the blue car's good one.. then the black one's can go back to VTS. So I have to find time to do
that too. Yey. Etc.
The Porsche is in good stead. She still needs paint but it's hardly the end of the world and it's not something that needs doing any time soon. So it won't be. :)
Right.. I think I'll catch up on DOOM 3 (the
Gamespy blog!). :D
